We unexpectedly buried the 74 year old Jesus-filled matriarch of the family this week (in 2010).
Gloria smiled and told me on many occasions over the last several years she was going Home…and to Him. She couldn’t wait, but loved to work for Him here as she could. Maybe you can relate, dear saint!
Bob Benson, the founder of Benson Records, wrote this insightful quote prior to his death when he didn’t know any more of Heaven than we do who are alive. This is taken from the outstanding DVD “Heaven” by Bill Gaither and Friends as Bob’s son remembered his dad:
I used to think that loving life so greatly, that to die would be like leaving the party before the end. But now I know that the party is really happening somewhere else.
And that the light and the music escaping in snatches to make the pulse beat faster and the tempo quicken comes from another place. And I know too, when I get there, the music and the love and the praise will belong to Him. And the music will never end…
