Beloved, when we’re under the gun due to our persecutors, we can safety turn to Him who loves and sustains us under the shadow of His wings.
Hopefully, our life will never be as trying as our brother Jeremiah. But when they who despise us seem to prevail, He is there for us to cry out to…as our dread champion!
Jeremiah 20:11 But the Lord is with me like a dread champion; therefore my persecutors will stumble and not prevail. They will be utterly ashamed, because they have failed, with an everlasting dis-grace that will not be forgotten.
“Dread” is rendered as awe-inspiring as well as terror-striking. “Champion” is rendered as the mighty one, valiant warrior, a strong man.
A Terror-Striking Mighty One, the Valiant Warrior, our Strong Man.
Amen. He is all of those for us.

Father God, the Holy and Majestic Glory, we bow at Your awesome might and work on our behalf. We long to see You face-to-face!
