Some writing just plain hits the nail on the head square on. It exposes the disease, lances the boil with truthful solutions, and calls the reader to action. The author here is a medical doctor who practiced psychiatry with an expertise on woman’s sexuality, with a specialty in helping the millions of women who are sexually frigid.

Being frigid, she describes, is all women who fail to have the consistent and delightful full sexual orgasm during relations with their husband as she describes tastefully in the early chapters of the book. And that’s at least 40 million women she says in the 1950’s when the book was written.

Personally, most men I know in the church who will open up and tell the truth are all in some form of sexual starvation. Paul and Lori Byerly of The Marriage Bed have an ongoing sex survey that details 80% of all Christian men do not get enough sex from their Christian wives with 50% in a state of sexual starvation.

Sexual celebration that is consistent, proactive, loving, and passionate is the #1 requirement of husbands to know their wives are pleased with them, desire them, and adore them. It is the only way they know the world is right, and that their wives truly love them. Wives who provide this sacrificial service to their husband will reap a benefit that is scarcely seen in the kingdom of God! A husband will do most anything for a wife that respects and honors him in this way…
