Christ and His apostles were crystal clear that we are to sell every excess possession and live extremely simple like them. Helping the disenfranchised, not ingratiating ourselves with the idol of mammon that leads one to hell, was gracious obedience.
Luke 14:33 “So then, none of you can be My disciple who does not give up all his own possessions…” – 2 Corinthians 8:14 …at this present time your (financial) abundance being a supply for their (desperate financial) need, so that their (spiritual) abundance also may become a supply for your (spiritual) need, that there may be equality (in both money and religion)…
