At a men’s retreat during a tremendous trial in my life, my attitude towards God for sending it was extremely sinful. Matter of fact, it was arguably the lowest point of my walk.
The leaders of the retreat passed out a card the second day that was a prophetic warning to my soul. Perhaps you too can relate:
Watch your thoughts, they become words.
Watch your words, they become actions.
Watch your actions, they become habits.
Watch your habits, they become your character.
Watch your character, they become your destiny.
I remember the Holy Spirit speaking clearly. “Marc, what path are you on with Me?” Praise God for His merciful patience. This is a prayer that we can confidently ask of Him:
“Oh Father, help us all to think, speak, and acts the life of Christ…loving Words of truth, including reproof, rebuke, and sarcasm in order for us all to walk worthy of You.”
