Diamonds attract diamonds…not coal
Dear saints,
A dear sister in the Lord Jesus sent us this piece about her search for her Boaz. She had waited and prayed for over a decade after her husband’s death. One day he unexpectedly connected with her and she recognized quickly and surprisingly that he might be the right one…finally.
At first she didn’t believe what she was seeing, for she had gone through many “frogs,” most sent from Satan himself. She had been tempted many times to compromise, but God had promised a Boaz in a prophesy years earlier. But as the months rolled by she slowly came to the realization that God had indeed answered her prayed in a dramatic way.
Here is her hand written bullet list she penned April 11, 2014 on a folded 8.5×11 piece of paper stuck away and forgotten in one of her Bibles. She “just happened” to find it shortly after their courtship began.
The caveat in all this is that the Lord God will not waste a “diamond” on a lump of coal. If you want a Boaz, or Ruth for that matter, you must be about God’s business. And that business is His eternal purpose: the population, maturation, and completion of His kingdom.
She married her Boaz in the summer of 2018. She is delirious with joy, she says! By the way, she and Boaz refrained from sexual intercourse and that celebration until their marriage day.

Recognizing The Right One – What Does Boaz Look Like?
My Boaz…
…is an intentional man who understands his role as a man of God.
…knows what he wants.
…has a sound reputation among his peers and coworkers.
…moves effortlessly into his role as protector and provider.
…is sensitive to the needs of a woman without being overpowering.
…sees a need and fills it without being asked.
…is respectful.
…doesn’t presume anything, yet looks to do what is within his power
…is a man of harvest, is fruitful, and respected.
…is a man modeled after Christ who has promised to lead me to green pastures, and grant me rest, provision, and protection.
