Jeremiah was at first reluctant to God’s direct call to prophesy to the evil waywardness of harlot Israel. The Father declared to him to not be afraid of them. If God is for us, who can be against us? But who is “them?”
Jeremiah 1:7-8 But the Lord said to me, “Do not say, ‘I am a youth,’ because everywhere I send you, you shall go, And all that I command you, you shall speak. Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you to deliver you,” declares the Lord.
“Them” is the crowd, the majority of people you’ll meet in your life, both unsaved and saved, that hate the true truth. And hate the fact you would speak to them directly about that 3 letter word – sin. Be bold, be loving, be like Jesus, He commands.
Dear Lord, thank You for Your word that we can firmly stand upon: ‘I am with you to deliver you.’ We’re Yours and don’t want to be silent like the majority of professing followers. We shall speak…
