I can do all things like this too?

Dear friends,

Does “all” always mean all?

Some time ago, I had the opportunity to meet in the southwest portion of the USA with a friend who is a New Age believer. Other than his spiritual blindness, he’s quite brilliant. He’s also quite wary of so-called “Christians.”

Why?

For one reason he has a fairly good command of the Word of God for a pagan and is knowledgeable about the tragic history of Christianity regarding the killing of our enemies.

This also includes the present day antics of so-called “Christian” Presidents, for my friend wonders aloud about the strange “bedfellows” as he calls it between politics and religion.

Brothers and sisters,

The Creator God is so high, so lofty, so humble, so loving, so merciful, and even so wrathful and angry that we humans, His crowning achievement as His bride, can never know Him completely on this side on heaven.

Yet, as He chooses to live in the hearts of creatures that still sin, we look through a glass darkly as we gain more and more insight into His heart…and His terrible wrath.

Certain messages from the brethren resonate in ways few do, and this is one of them. Our brother Francis Chen seeks to describe the indescribable in this short video…

…if God, the infinite God who hides oak trees in acorns, who turns drunken, drug invested rapists into tender, tear stained evangelists, who places more molecules in one glass of water than all the grains of sand on all the earth’s beaches…

Brethren,

Truly, I figured I’d be long, long, long gone to heaven to be with the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit and the saints of all time before I ever saw anything resembling this from this popular right-wing brother.

Well, ye of little faith, Marc.

Here’s a fascinating article by national syndicated columnist Cal Thomas.  If anybody would’ve asked me a dozen years ago if this piece would’ve come from the pen of Thomas, I would’ve laughed myself silly.  I guess I didn’t have enough faith.  I’ve repented.  I’m so pleased that brother Cal has seen fit to join the school of reason with what the Word teaches us in how to change the world around us.  Enjoy this as I have, brethren.

Here’s a brief but shocking sample:

“Suppose millions of conservative evangelicals engaged in an old and proven type of radical behavior. Suppose they followed the admonition of Jesus to “love your enemies, pray for those who persecute you, feed the hungry, clothe the naked, visit those in prison and care for widows and orphans,” not as ends, as so many liberals do by using government, but as a means of demonstrating God’s love for the whole person in order that people might seek Him?”

God is in the miracle business full time, isn’t He?!   😳   Sometimes I forget. You too? This drives me to deeper and more intense prayer, and praise. With God, nothing, nothing, absolutely nothing is impossible.
