Dear friends,

In The New Trinity baby manger Jesus touchy-feely culture many of us find ourselves in these days, admonishing a person is always unwelcome.

And yet we’re unable to be perfectly mature and please the Father in every way without it. It’s shaping the will with warning.

The Complete Biblical Library Greek-English Dictionary describes it as such.

The action describes an influence exerted upon the mind and implies a prior resistance. Nouthete?, then, means “to admonish, warn, instruct,” so as to redirect someone from wrong ways and correct his behavior.

Let these words sink into your ears.

Colossians 1:28  We proclaim Him, admonishing every man (person) and teaching every man (person) with all wisdom, so that we may present every man complete (perfectly mature) in Christ.
