Our dear Lord and Savior commands we’re to be just like Him in every way as far as we can as a human led by God Himself (1 John 2).
That includes being insane as far as other people think, especially the modern “sane” church people and it’s leaders, as well as our own immediate and extended family.
Out of our mind. Not sane. It’s ordinary for a little Christ, the normal Christian life.
We read in the holy Scriptures in Mark 3:
When His own people (immediate and extended family, His kinsmen) heard of this, they went out to take custody of Him; for they were saying, “He has lost His senses.” The scribes (false religious leaders) who came down from Jerusalem were saying, “He is possessed by (the devil),” and “He casts out the demons by the ruler of the demons.”
The Greek word for “senses: here is existemi, from ex meaning ‘out” and histemi meaning ‘to stand.’ Notice closely what they desired to do: remove Him from any public influence, and degrade His power and position amongst the people.
Are you considered “insane” to others because of your walk with the real Jesus, not the American Jesus who is Santa Claus and an ATM machine?
Good. Very good. You’re on track to perhaps hear ‘well done, good and faithful slave…’
“May we all be insane for You, dear God. What an honor to obey and serve You in every way. In we are ‘out of our mind’ now, someday we will be out of this world with You and Your Son!”
