In the Holy Word, God has the song writer deliberately describe His angels in a subordinate position to Himself. Of course, He knows that fact and the angels know that fact…but I suspect His creatures always need to be reminded that God is God and we’re not.
I mean, why in the world would Satan ever think God would put up for one minute his foolish escapade of ascending to a position like His very Creator? What stupidity it appears on the surface. But…we seem to have to be reminded over and over that God is good (He is) and we’re to be in submission to the Ancient of Days at ALL times. It’s love, really, for Him to condescend to the reminders. He is, after all, running HIS universe.
Again, He uses fire as the descriptor. The picture I have of an angel captured on film clearly shows his form as a fiery figure. It’s spine tingling to look at it. Angels, it seems, are ministers of the fire of God:
“He makes the winds His messengers, flaming fire His ministers.” Psalm 104:4
And Paul too quotes the psalmist in 104.4 being used by God:
“And of the angels He says, “Who makes His angels winds, And His ministers a flame of fire.”” Hebrews 1:7
“Our Father, who is in heaven, hallowed be Your Name. Your kingdom come, and Your will be done, on earth as it always is in Your heaven. Send Your fiery angels of ministry to Your children, if You will.”
