Our Lord and God is the supreme Protector of our lives. Only in Him do we receive the complete care He promises in this Song of Trust.
Even in suffering, torture, and death, He cares supremely for us. He hurts with us: “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?” the passage in Acts declares.
As always, I have personalized the Song with my name when appropriate…and you may do the same if you copy and revise this piece. Blessings in the great God and Savior!

Psalm 91:1-16- A Song of Trust
We who dwell in the shelter of You Most High
Will abide in the shadow of You, dear Lord, the Almighty.
I will say to You LORD, “My refuge and my fortress,
My God, in whom I trust!”
God Delivers Us
For it is You who delivers us from the snare of the trapper
And from the deadly pestilence.
You will cover us with Your pinions, Your protective flight feathers,
And under Your wings we may seek refuge;
Your faithfulness is a shield and bulwark.
Never Be Afraid
We will not be afraid of the terror by night,
Or of the arrow that flies by day;
Of the pestilence that stalks in darkness,
Or of the destruction that lays waste at noon.
A thousand may fall at our side
And ten thousand at our right hand,
But it shall not approach us.
We will only look on with our eyes
And see the recompense of the wicked.
For we have made You LORD, our refuge,
Even You, Most High, our dwelling place.
No evil will befall us,
Nor will any plague come near our tent.
Angels Watch Over Us
For You, Lord God, will give Your angels charge concerning us,
To guard us in all our ways.
They will bear us up in their hands,
That we do not strike our foot against a stone.
You, Lord, will tread upon the lion and cobra,
The young lion and the serpent You, God, will trample down.
God Speaks to Us of His Deliverance
“Because you, Marc, have loved Me, therefore I will deliver you;
I will set you securely on high, because you, Marc, have known My name.
You will call upon Me, and I will answer You, Marc;
I will be with you in trouble;
I will rescue you and honor you.
With a long life I will satisfy you, Marc
And let You see My salvation.”
