June-July 2014 was a busy time for us here at Walk Worthy. We report here on the changed lives, the whole gospel & kingdom evangelism, discipleship in many places, jail & prison ministries, answered prayer & ministry needs…and “storying” the gospel – with the story of the month – the rich young ruler!

Just yesterday I was preaching in a small country church and I preached on the “plumb line of righteousness” from Amos 7. I then transitioned to Ezekiel 8-10 and exclaimed loudly to them that I was glad that MY God was the God of Ezekiel 8-10, and not the common “god” of people today who have thrown out so many of God’s virtues (including righteousness, wrath, and judgment). In Ezekiel 8-10 God instructed that every Jewish man, woman, and child, with one exception, was to be killed that day because of the abundance of sin(s). The exception was for those who were “marked” on their foreheads by the scribe for having grieved over the sin of the nation. The slaughter was to start first with the religious leaders in the Temple of Jerusalem. Brother, to me that is a loving Daddy, loving mankind.

Sister J wrote: Fascinating, Mark! I sure wish I’d known about this when I was a young woman. I would have ended it with the first adultery. My church in Colorado did cover some of this when I did divorce but I do believe it was best that I endured so long for the sake of my children. I always referred myself as his favorite slave. I can say that God has been a wonderful Father to me for the last 12 years. It has been a hard road but He is a good provider and I can’t tell you the miracles along the way. I know peace and my food goes down at the supper table.
