Dear saints,
Can there be few situations so full of anguish than slowly waiting for a horrible event to unfold right before your eyes? Such is the pain of our brother the prophet Habakkuk as he pens his book under the guidance of the Holy Spirit. You may also recall this prophet was the first recorded to use the doctrine that a person is saved from their sins and the wrath to come by faith (2.4).
Habakkuk was a contemporary of both Jeremiah and Nahum and most likely lived in Judah toward the end of Josiah’s reign or the beginning of Jehoiakim’s reign, those years being somewhere between 640-598 BC. The Chaldeans, also known as the Babylonians, were raised up by God for the judgement of Israel and other nations. Habakkuk probably lived to see his prophesy fulfilled in 597.
To those following our MEAT text, you’re familiar with our theme that God has also raised up the New World Order like He did the Assyrians and Babylonians to again judge His people. Very possibly we may see our Lord also bring end times events into fruition in the foreseeable future.

Habakkuk 1:1-17 – For Today, Modern Expository Amplified Text (MEAT) by Walk Worthy

God punishes His body using the New World Order
How long, O LORD Yahveh, will I continue to call for help over and over…and still You will not hear me to put a stop to all this? I desperately cry out loud to You, “Violence! Violence! Violence!” Yet You do not save me and your other holy ones from this terrible plight of today.
My God, why do You make me see all this iniquity, this immoral and gross behavior against Your commandments by Your so-called people, and cause me to look on their wickedness of all sorts and types? Yes, destruction and violence of adults and children’s souls and spirits are ever before me; they sacrifice their children on the altar of amusement just like they did to ancient Molech centuries ago in the fire. Despicable strife exists and contention arises amongst Your people who have absolutely no intention to seek Your peace and live unified.
Therefore every law and commandment of Yours is ignored…every one…and justice is never upheld and they get away with all their sin for they reinterpret Your Word to suit their carnal lives. For these wicked surround the righteous, Your righteous ones; therefore true justice comes out perverted and never ever right.
God responds
“My servant Habakkuk, listen now, My son. Look among the nations of the earth! Observe them carefully! Be astonished! And wonder! Because I am doing something unexpected in your days. You would not believe if you were told. But you must believe it 
now.
“For behold, Habakkuk, I am raising up the New World Order to do My will, those hated world-wide Elites ruled by the likes of the Rothschild’s, the Bushes, the Gates, the World Health Organization (WHO), the World Economic Forum (WEF), the United Nations (UN) and the like. These demonized Deep State actors are fierce and ferocious. They’re impetuous headstrong people who move throughout My whole earth creating health crisis like COVID-19, disseminating propaganda like the need for mass vaccinations, and promoting digital ID’s for every human being. They seize control of whole nations and things which are not theirs, like whole governments, banks, money sources, businesses, churches, possessions, and lands.
“As you well know from their past diabolical conquests, they are dreaded and feared by all across the entire globe by those who know them and their history. Their warped justice and absolute authority originate with themselves alone, for they act like they answer to no one. Certainly not Me. Indeed, they are total fools, and refuse My gracious mercy.
“The secretly controlled militaries of their infiltrated nations are swifter than any leopard and more keenly alert than wolves in the evening. Their digitized weaponry comes galloping like the fastest horsemen from afar; their aircraft and drones fly like an eagle swooping down to devour.
“All of them come for violence, in order to control the entire world. Their horde of faces moves forward without any significant opposition. They collect captives from each nation like sand. They mock at kings, presidents, prime ministers, and rulers for these are nothing more than a laughing matter to them. For they secretly bribe, manipulate, and control them through money, power, and sexual compromise. They scoff at every fortress, every military installation, indeed every type of government structure, and capture it by internal seduction.
“Eventually they will sweep through the whole world like the wind and pass on to their next conquest. But they will be held guilty, these foolish people whose strength is their god, trusting in their religion of might.”
Habakkuk cannot fathom God’s ways in this
O LORD, my God, my Holy One, are You not from everlasting to everlasting? We know we will not die eternally. Ever. But You, O LORD, have appointed these despicable people to judge over us and the world. And You, O Rock, have established them to correct and save Your wayward body of Christ, those in spiritual no-man’s land, and those lost who desperately need Your redemption.
Your eyes are too pure, too holy to approve any evil whatsoever. And You cannot look on even the slightest wickedness with any of Your favor. So, why do You look with favor on those who deal treacherously with Your creation, those humans made in Your image? Why, then, are You totally silent when the wicked swallow up those more righteous than they?
Why have You made men like the fish of the sea, like creeping things on the earth without a holy ruler like You over them? Why don’t You exercise Your sovereign rule like You do with us? The New World Order schemes bring all the nation’s people up with a hook, and drag them away with their fishing net. All of us are like fish in an aquarium treated cavalierly. Therefore they rejoice with exceeding glee and are glad in their evil hearts. For there’s nothing to stop them…except You and You alone, oh God.
Therefore they offer worship to their modern fishing net, their weapons, all their tools of human capture. Because through these things their human catch is exceedingly large, and their prey is more than plentiful. Will they therefore empty their net once again and continually slay nations without sparing? Please, Lord, why are these things happening over and over again?
Habakkuk 2:1-20
The LORD God answers the prophets frustrations
I will stand on my guard night and day being alert against all the evil of the day and station myself on my rampart, the defensive wall of my soul. And I will keep watch intently to see what my LORD God will speak to me, and how I may reply when I am reproved since I know His ways are not my ways.
Then the LORD Yahveh answered me directly and firmly saying, “Record My vision I gave you earlier and inscribe it as a permanent record on tablets for all time, so that the interested one who reads it sincerely may proclaim it to all.
“For this ominous vision is yet for My appointed time in the future. It hastens breathlessly toward the goal I intend and it will not fail. Never, ever. All will come to pass. Though this destruction tarries and seems never close to you now, wait patiently with contentment for it. For I swear by My Name, it will certainly come as prescribed, it will not delay one moment too long.
“Behold now, My son, as for the arrogantly proud one who trusts in his own hands, his soul is not right within him and he is lost for eternity in My lake of fire.
“But the righteous will live day by day by his faith, the abiding and trusting belief in My
very Word. He will endure to the end.
“Furthermore, too much wine and the world itself betrays the haughty and insolent man, so much so that he does not stay at home to mind his own affairs. He enlarges his appetite like the very gates of hell and seeks what is not his.
“And this lost person is certainly like death itself, never satisfied and always seeking more and more. These men of the New World Order also gather to themselves all nations of the world and collect to themselves all peoples of every tongue.
“Will not all of My saints who indeed know My truth take up a curse filled taunt-song of woes against these fools, even severe mockery and deliberate insinuations against them? And say, ‘Woe to him who increases what is not his against the LORD’s will! For how long will this be so with him who also makes himself rich with loans of the LORD’s graciousness?’
The New World Order’s evil will come upon themselves in the end
“Will not eventually, you bold New World Order fools, your Creator, the Master of the universe, awaken and rise up suddenly to collect from you? Indeed, you will become bloody plunder for Him. Because you have looted many nations and killed their peoples, all of God’s angels will loot you. Because of human bloodshed and violence done to their lands and all its inhabitants, your eventual extinction is assured.
“The woe of curses to him who gets evil gain for his own demonic cause to put his own ill wrought kingdom on high. He will never be delivered from the hand of My calamity! You have devised a shameful thing for your own destructive worldwide works by cutting off the many peoples of the world.
So you are sinning against yourself and there will be no remedy. Surely each stone will cry out from each wall against you, and the each roof rafter will answer their anguish from the framework.
“The woe of curses to him who builds a kingdom with bloodshed and enslaves a whole world with violence like these New World Order pawns! Is it not indeed from the LORD of hosts that all peoples who conquer others toil for temporary control and riches, yet these demonic conquerors grow weary for nothing in the end?
“For the sovereign majestic power of God will insure the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, just like He sees to it the waters cover the all the oceans.
“The woe of curses to you who make your unsaved neighbors prisoners to serve only your evil intentions. You who mix in your lethal venom into their lives even to make them drunk so as to look on their spiritual nakedness!
“You certainly will be filled with overwhelming disgrace rather than honor. Now you yourself drink of wanton power and expose your own spiritual nakedness. The cup of extreme vengeance in the LORD Jehovah’s right hand will come around to you, and utter disgrace will come upon your evil glory.
“For your own violence done to these nations will overwhelm you as well in the end. And the devastation of these despicable acts by which you terrified them night and day, the incalculable human bloodshed and violence done to these lands, to the nations and all its inhabitants, will come down upon your own heads.
“So, what profit is the idol of digital and economic conquest when its maker has created it, and become a teacher of falsehood and deadly propaganda? For its maker trusts in his own handiwork when he fashions all these idols against My holy ways and My love for all souls.
“The woe of curses falls upon the New World Order who conquers the world and says, ‘You’re mine!’ And to their ensnared idolatrous digital empire, ‘Arise!’ And that is your teacher? Behold, it is infused with cold and lifeless materials, and there is no breath at all in it.
“But I, the LORD God, am in My holy temple, which are My saints who love and obey Me implicitly. Let all the earth be silent before Me.”
Habakkuk 3:1-19
Habakkuk quivers and waits for God’s deliverance
LORD Yahveh, I have heard the report about You and I fear, and am absolutely terrified. I know how you’ve destroyed millions of Your enemies through the years. You have already destroyed the entire world save Noah and his small family.
O LORD God, I beg and beseech You to revive Your work of power in the midst of the years, to dramatically intervene like the Red Sea rescue. In the midst of the years now please make it known. In Your terrible and deadly wrath remember mercy.
My God comes from His place of worship and His incomparable splendor covers all the heavens. The whole earth and the creation is full of His never ending praise. The radiance of His countenance is like the sunlight. He has blinding rays of flashing from His hand, and there is the hiding from the terrors of life in His power.
But remember: before Him goes pestilence, both epidemics and pandemics, and devastating plague comes after Him. He stood tall and surveyed the entire earth; and He looked and startled the nations that saw His gaze. Yes, the perpetual mountains He created were shattered, and the ancient hills collapsed at His limitless power. His ways are everlasting.
Did You, LORD of hosts, the warrior God, rage against the rivers too? Or was Your anger and Your wrath against the sea? So that You rode on Your horses of power, and on Your chariots of salvation to save Your people from our past enemies?
Your bow was made bare for action then, and Your arrows of chastisement were unleased. You cleaved the earth with countless rivers. The mountains saw You and quaked, and the tumultuous downpour of waters swept by and left its mark. The deep uttered forth its voice of many waters, and it lifted high its hands in praise.
Both the sun and moon stood in their places as You intended. They went away at the piercing brilliant light of Your arrows, at the radiance of Your gleaming spear of vengeance. In full indignation You marched through the whole earth, Your earth. In furious anger You trampled the nations who disobey You commands.
You went forth in battle for the salvation of Your people, oh God. For the salvation of Your anointed, Your saints. You struck dead the head of the house of the evil when He did not expect it to lay him open from thigh to neck.
You pierced him with his own weapons, his own evil ways. Those enemies, those oppressors stormed in to scatter us in meaningless retaliation. Their self-exultation was like those who devour the oppressed of the world in secret. You trampled on the sea with Your holy throng in response, on the surge of the many waters of the planet.
The prophet is undone…and still exults his LORD
I heard these terrifying prophetic words from the mouth of my LORD, and the inward parts of my body trembled. At the sound of His mighty voice, my lips quivered. Decay of my soul enters my bones, and in my place I shake repeatedly.
Because I must wait and wait day by day quietly and steadfastly for our day of distress, for those deceptive people, the New World Order elites and their armies, to arise who will invade and conquer us all.
Though every green tree should not blossom and there be no fruit on the vines at the harvest, though the yield of every vegetable plant should fail and the fields produce absolutely no food, though every flock should be cut off from the safety and enclosure of their fold, and there be no cattle in the stalls to eat…
Yet I will exult in the LORD of hosts, I will always and forever more rejoice in the God of my salvation, My Master. The Lord GOD is my real strength, and He has made my feet totally secure on dangerous slopes just like hinds’ feet, the feet of mountain goats who never ever fall.
And makes me walk on my high places like them for I am forever with Him.
